Fair play

Chance, drawn in your own browser

Each spin, deal, roll, drop and scratch on Starvellan is settled by chance, on your device, the instant you play. No one adjusts results in your favour, against you, or for anybody else.

1. The source of every result

Every Starvellan game runs inside your browser. The moment you press Spin, Deal, Roll or Drop, the game requests fresh numbers from the browser's built-in cryptographic random number generator, the same one browsers use for security tasks such as making encryption keys. Its output is unpredictable and evenly spread.

We take care not to spoil that evenness. Fractions are built from 53 random bits, whole numbers are drawn by rejection sampling so that no value is favoured, and cards are shuffled with the Fisher–Yates method. Those numbers settle the round at once: which symbols land, which card turns up, where the ball comes to rest. Our server plays no part, never sees your rounds and has no means of changing them.

2. No memory between rounds

Every round is drawn from scratch and knows nothing of the last. A long wait for a feature does not make one "due", and a strong round does not make the next one weaker. Your account, level, Club tier, balance, time played and earlier results have no effect on what comes next.

3. One set of odds for all

Demo players and account holders get identical games, rules and chances. There are no special settings for newcomers, returning players or higher tiers, and nothing you unlock alters the odds. An account changes one thing only: your Glints, level and rewards are kept.

4. The animation only reports

A result is fixed the moment its random numbers are drawn; what you then watch is simply the result being shown. Symbols, cards and numbers are never swapped afterwards, and a losing round is never staged to look like a near miss.

Slot reels all stop on the same timing whatever has landed already, so there is no extra pause or slow-down when a feature seems close. The outcome is known before the reels start turning, and you can stop them early whenever you like.

5. Reading a game's rules

Each game has a dedicated rules page covering how it plays, what triggers its features and everything it pays. Open it with the "Rules & pays" button inside the game, and read it before your first round if you wish.

As an example, here are the rules and pays for Vela's Vault.

6. No return percentages, on purpose

Real-money games often publish a percentage describing how much they hand back over a very long run. We deliberately do not. Nothing here is played for money, so such a figure would only invite a comparison with gambling that has no place on Starvellan. What matters for enjoyment is how a game feels, so each one is labelled calm, lively or wild: calm games return smaller amounts more often, while wild games stay quiet longer between bigger moments.

Whatever a round brings, Glints remain a score with no cash value. Playing or success in social casino gaming does not imply future success at real-money gambling.

7. Reporting a problem

If a game seems to break its own rules, tell us which game, what happened and roughly when, using the contact form or by writing to hello@starvellan.co.uk. Every report is looked into.
